1. Lady is A Tramp: Puck is swoon-worthy in this song! Love love love. He's definitely singing it about Mercedes, not Santana. The song is mainly him with Mercedes singing on the last minute or so on the track and she doesn't overpower him at all. I FULLY ship Puck/Mercedes if it will have them singing together every week. Their voices really compliment each other.
2. One: Another Finn/Rachel song, but brilliant. The U2 version is one of my favorite songs so I would have been pretty upset if they messed it up, but they do it justice that's for sure. Also one of the first times I've liked Finn a little more than Rachel in a song. I just wish she would have sounded a little grittier on the Mary J. part you know? Or thatMercedes would have sang it.
3. Rose's Turn: All I can say is IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME. LOVE Kurt singing this! Not sure what happens between Kurt and Rachel on this, but the lyrics were changed to "And if it wasn't for me, where would you be Ms. Rachel Berry?" This song is the one I'm looking forward to most in the episode I think. He really sounds great in it.
4. Dream On: OH EM EFFIN' GEE. I clapped after the 1st time I heard this hahah. Matt and NPH's voices sound so great together. I said it before and I'll say it again epic is really the only word that can describe it. Yes yes YES. I had no idea that NPH had ridiculous pipes like that.
5. Safety Dance: Artie song and it's really, really fun. I've loved this song since I first saw Bio Dome so can do no wrong with it in my eyes. I dare anyone to not be able to dance/shimmy/robot it up to this one. Overall really fun track.
6. I Dreamed A Dream: Musical theater lovers are going to wet themselves when they hear this one. It's GORGEOUS like the heavens parted and there were these two. Equal parts Rachel and Shelby. I'll seriously be pissed if these two don't end up related some how.
7. Loser: Puck and Finn lead this one. Pretty close to the original and think I heard Ken, Sandy and Howard on it too? Really cool track. Loser definitely features Terri in it. Not sure why I didn't hear it first go around, but you can hear her in the background and chorus. It actually sounds like a couple of women the way they looped the vocals so not sure if more people are singing it. Sandy and Howard's little background lines are funny so this scene is probably pretty hilarious. Also no Ken ha.
8. We Got the Funk: Probably one of my least favorites on the CD. It's fun, but pretty repetitive/ a little Kids Bop-ish and I really hope they don't do the whole 4 and a half minute version on the episode making other songs be shorter. Can't wait to see everyone break it down with their moves during it. Give Up the Funk is feat. Mercedes AND Kurt! I've listened to it closely about 5 times through and still can't pick out what part Kurt is leading on. I can even pick out Artie leading on a chorus, but he's not listed as featured so I dunno. There is a part where someone goes "Tear the roof off the mother sucker. Tear the roof off the sucker" at the beginning and the end, but it is super low/warped so if that's his part I'd be pretty surprised.
9. Beth: Eh, my other least favorite. Not a fan of the original and I usually skip this track after a minute or so. Guys sound lovely, but it's too slow for me. Hope they're doing a more upbeat Kiss song this episode too.
