Glee executive producer Dante Di Loreto has admitted that he is thrilled that two more seasons of the show have been ordered.
Fox picked up a third season earlier this year even though the second has not yet been filmed.
"It was a tremendous vote of confidence from the network," Di Loreto told DS. "And we were really honoured by that. It's very, very rare."
Di Loreto added that the show can plan more now that its future is secure.
"It gives our creators a chance to spin stories over a longer arc," he said. "To really plan a bigger picture of where the show is going. And from the business side it enables us to invest in the infrastructure of the show - in the sets and the sound stages - to make the show more produceable, to enable us to do more musical numbers in a shorter period of time."
