When the Television Critics Assn. unveiled nominees Thursday, "Modern Family" led with the most (five), followed by "Glee" and "Breaking Bad" (four).
Nice surprises included major notice for rookie series "Sons of Anarchy," "Parks and Recreation," "Party Down" and "The Good Wife." Shocking omissions: recent Emmy sweepers "30 Rock."
As usual, there are lots of inconsistencies and oddities surrounding awards bestowed by quirky TV critics. As our forums poster nicknamed "adamunc" asks, "How can 'Friday Night Lights' be up for Program of the Year but not Drama? That makes no sense." See more forum reax here.
