Every awards show has blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments and surprising back stories. Here are a few from last night's telecast:
• Where was Lea Michele in the opening dance number? Michele participated in the pre-taped parts of the opening "Glee" homage, but when the players ran out onstage and danced live, Michele was nowhere to be found among her "Glee" cast mates. At first we thought maybe she just didn't want to change out of her prom-style Emmys dress and get all sweaty, but as her publicist told us this morning, "It was part of the opening bit that Kate Gosselin would push her out of the way to steal her spot, which is why Kate appeared in the live portion instead of Lea."
