Sneak Preview: ‘Glee’ Returns In A New York State Of Mind
The ‘Glee‘ kiddies are angling to take a bite out of the Big Apple, as seen in the first real promo for the Fox hit’s second season.
The 32-second clip, first posted by New York Magazine, includes snippets of New Directions’ big season premiere performance, a cover of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind.” The song choice and corresponding garb ties into the show choir’s desire to attend Nationals in NYC.
But for those who value storyline as much as soundtracks, here’s what you can spy in the promo:
* Will and Emma (played by Matthew Morrison and Jayma Mays) being screeched to a halt by a fierce-looking Teri (Jessalyn Gilsig).
* Finn (Cory Monteith) seemingly telling Quinn (Dianna Agron) about his lingering feelings for her, as a downtrodden Rachel (Lea Michele) looks on, though that moment reeks of Misleading Editing.
* Artie (Kevin McHale) going “gangsta” in a way that will extend my streak of sleepless nights to five.
* Sue (Emmy winner Jane Lynch) yelling.
