'Glee': No Springsteen episode yet, but maybe some Taylor Swift

“Glee” will not be giving Bruce Springsteen the tribute treatment anytime soon. Although Springsteen was rumored to be a candidate for the show's upcoming post-Super Bowl episode, co-creator Brad Falchuk tells PopWrap, “There's no Springsteen tribute" coming up.

Falchuk adds that he “would love to do one -- and direct it! 'Glee' is a very personal show to us creators so it would be hard for me not to get a little bit of Bruce in there at some point.” However, the show's production schedule makes it difficult to think that far ahead.

“It's almost impossible to produce the show because of the amount of work that goes into every episode, so we don't have a lot of time to think four, five episodes into the future,” he says.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift confirms to Zap2It that “there have been conversations” about using her songs on “Glee.”

“With all these new opportunities, it usually comes down to scheduling,” she says. “I'm a huge fan of the show, and I think it showcases music in a great way, so I would be really excited if anything were to happen there.”

Readers, are you disappointed Springsteen won't be featured on the show? Would you like to hear New Directions tackle a Taylor Swift song? And who do you hope will be featured in the post-Super Bowl episode?
