Glee's Christmas album is due out Nov. 16, but because we're connected, we just got the lucky chance to hear the whole thing early!
The song selections (and their lyrics) were nothing less than fascinating for us die-hard fans of the show.
You see, this Christmas some Glee couples are getting holiday cheer, while others seem to be out in the cold...

Track four is "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and the very romantic jazzy duet between Darren Criss' Blaine and Chris Colfer's Kurt makes it clear those two have heart-warming Christmas sparks.
We can gather from the lyrics that Blaine is very interested in Kurt ("I'll hold your hands...They're just like ice...Gosh, your lips look delicious..."), but that Kurt is more hesitant about his feelings for Blaine ("I wish I knew how to break this spell...I've gotta get home...I really can't stay"). Separate from the mushy stuff, it's a marvelous version of the song. Put it on repeat, play it a dozen times, and consider yourself melted.
In other intriguing romance news, two of Lea Michele's solos, "Merry Christmas Darling" and Wham!'s "Last Christmas," imply that Rachel and Finn (Cory Monteith) might be on some kind of holiday hiatus.
On "Merry Christmas Darling," Rachel warbles "We're apart, that's true, but I can dream, and in my dreams, I'm Christmassing with you...I've just one wish on this Christmas Eve, I wish I were with you." And then, as any holiday radio listener knows, "Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, but the very next day, you gave it away." Hmmm...could there be trouble in Finnchel paradise?
OK, so putting away "shipping" for a second (don't die of shock everybody, it happens once in a while), here's how the song breakdown goes for the Christmas album:
Michele's Rachel takes the lead on "O Holy Night" (which is amazing, duh), as well as the aforementioned "Merry Christmas Darling" and Wham's "Last Christmas," while Amber Riley's Mercedes is the boss of "Angels We Have Heard on High" (which is amazing, duh).
Matthew Morrison does the voiceover for "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" (featuring k.d. lang) and solos "O Christmas Tree."
(Oh, and speaking of celebrity guest stars, rumor has it that "I Dreamed a Dream" diva Susan Boyle will cameo in the Dec. 7 Glee Christmas episode, but a Fox rep has declined to confirm the story.)
The entire cast joins forces for "We Need a Little Christmas" and "The Most Wonderful Day of the Year" (led by Kevin McHale's Artie), while the girls break out for "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and the boys tackle "Jingle Bells."
Are you as excited for Kurt and Blaine's "Kaine" as we are? (Or should be calling them "Blurt"?) Will you buy the Christmas album when it comes out? What other holiday music would you like to hear on Glee in the seasons to come?
