Vancouver actor Cory Monteith, currently a white-hot spot on the pop-cult radar as star of TV’s Glee, is back home this weekend for work on a low-budget feature comedy.
Monteith is working with Dustin Milligan (90210), an actor friend from the days several years ago when both were unknowns in B.C. They play a pair of brothers in the multi-plot comedy Sisters and Brothers.
Victoria-raised Monteith got his acting start in Vancouver with small roles in TV and features, leading to a recurring role in the sci-fi series Kyle XY, before he won the role as Glee's singing football player two years ago.
This Vancouver trip is a quick in-and-out for Monteith. He arrived from Los Angeles Friday and has to be back in L.A. Sunday night for the Golden Globe Awards, where Glee has several nominations. Then it's back to filming Glee episodes in L.A.
