If any other dude shook his booty to “Single Ladies” on the football field and belted out “Losing My Religion” in a crowded hallway, we’d think, Eh, maybe he isn’t the guy for us. But as Glee’s star quarterback and choir boy, Cory Monteith has a knack for exuding sexiness in any situation. We’re pumped to see the 28-year-old flaunt his mojo in his first major film, the upcoming romcom Monte Carlo. He won’t be singing and dancing but we’re sure he’ll be turning us on in countless other ways.
Do you think life would be better if people randomly burst into song, a la Glee?
Oh, yeah. I think people really want to do that shit because they’re so restricted in their lives. People are too well-behaved.
What drives you nuts on a date?
Texting. It’s really annoying when you’re trying to get to know someone and she doesn’t pay attention to you because she’s obsessed with her phone.
Describe the most fun, fearless thing you’ve done.
I recently had a few days off while shooting a movie in Budapest, so I took a cab from the set to the airport, looked at the departure board, and decided where I wanted to go right then and there. I spent four days in Rome and didn’t tell anyone I was going,
Is there anything you get insecure about?
I’m really pale. And whenever I have to take my shirt off for the show, I’m very self-conscious about it. They have to put bronzer on me.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’m a cat whisperer. When I go to people’s houses, their cats always like me better than the owners. I’m serious.
