I don’t have DirecTV, but that doesn’t stop me from marveling each year at the announcement of its roster for its annual Celebrity Beach Bowl. The fifth no-holds-barred flag football game will take place Saturday in Dallas in a specially constructed 10,000 seat stadium, complete with a regulation size sand-filled football field.
Per the release, the festivities, which kick off with an hour-long pre-game show at 1:30 p.m. CT, feature a first: Glee‘s Matthew Morrison and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez have been tapped as “celebrity assistant coaches” to the real coaches, the New York Giants’ Eli Manning and the Cleveland Browns’ Colt McCoy. Warren Moon and Jesse Palmer will serve as quarterbacks, and in addition to other NFL greats, we’ll see the following stars suit up (and by that, I assume we mean strip down): Josh Duhamel, Chace Crawford, Kellan Lutz, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Chord Overstreet, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, Hunter Parrish, Michael B. Jordan, Dominic Fumusa, Brie Larson, and Marisa Miller.
The game and post-show concert by Maroon 5 will air live on DirecTV’s The 101 Network, and, for the first time ever, will also be broadcast in 3D on DirecTV’s n3D powered by Panasonic. Additionally, the game will be broadcast on all of Fox Sports Network’s Regional Sports Networks and affiliates and DirecTV’s Regional Sports Networks, more than 25 networks in total.

Definitely, couldn't agree more Matthew Morrison is amazing and oh that smile! I recently saw a really good movie where he actually was a prince singing and what a voice this man has. He is talented beyond the character he is playing on Glee and needs to get his voice out and about more. My Mom and I enjoyed an interesting night watched him in the adaptation of the Princess and the Pea on her fantastic Dish Network and then watched him in Glee and both sighed over his lack of musical numbers in the weekly show. With working for Dish Network I've been able to get a lot of help in setting up my TV Everywhere which is pretty fancy technology but even more so I've been amazed by the programming options available. My Mom is a celebrity addict so she needs a good method for the madness. She got a DVR which is cool since it tailors to two rooms with just the one piece of equipment, she travels a lot so she set's up both TV's to record and she's set. When we get together we watch a lot of recorded events since we have similar taste and her choices are always theatrical. One of our favorites is Turner Classic Movies, we both have a soft sport for the classics. I really hope to see for of Matt's voice in the future whether it's on Glee or something more elegant, hopefully when my Mom is around because I think she really enjoys watching him.
