I don’t talk about this picture enough. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever made a personal post about it addressing that its me in the picture. The GIFs, being the GPOY of fandom for a couple of hours, everyone either deciding I should be embarrassed or those who were happy for me, have kinda made me avoid it. A lot of the time people in my defense have said that people don’t know what meeting Lea meant to me. Truth is they don’t. But I haven’t really bothered explaining what it did mean. I’ll spare you a sob story, but there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t listen to “Don’t Rain On My Parade.” I didn’t get into the Glee Fandom until earlier this year, that isn’t to say I wasn’t a fan just didn’t know a place like fandom existed but this show saved me. Anyway, upon hearing her sing this song at Glee Live I went into hysterics. It was literally a turning point in my life where I decided that I can truly achieve anything I set my mind to. It was then that I made it my life goal to live in New York. To meet the voice that inspired this epiphany should have been enough to send me overboard, but it was Lea Michele’s kindness that put me over the top. In the picture she had clearly moved on to my friend Alexa’s autograph but she still managed to try and comfort me by telling me not to cry yet. I managed to tell her the only thing I needed to, I said
“you are my inspiration”
