Attention Gleeks: Don’t expect Rachel, Artie and the rest of the gang to disappear after their senior year, says “Glee” star Mark Salling, because apparently there is life after McKinley High!
“Just because someone graduates, it doesn’t mean they’re off the show,” Salling told the Track.
The Texas native, who originally headed to Hollywood to be a guitarist, was just about ready to quit his quest for fame and fortune when he landed the role of mohawked high school bad boy Noah “Puck” Puckerman on the hit Fox musical comedy.
“We’re all kind of like a family environment,” Salling says of the cast. “I hang out with Cory (Monteith) a lot.”
“Glee” is known for its heavy rotation of big-name guest stars, so who did Salling like working with best?
“All of them!” he said. “Kristin Chenoweth, and Idina (Menzel) is here right now. I get to work with her a lot.”
When he’s not doing his 14-hour days on the “Glee” set, Salling dumps his punk persona and works to help needy kids. That’s why he’s teaming up with ConAgra Foods’ Child Hunger Ends Here campaign, which raises awareness and encourages action to help end child hunger in America.
“It’s a really great campaign and it make it super easy for people to help,” Mark told the Track. “Basically, ConAgra is allowing people to take their UPC codes from ConAgra products and turn them in. Each UPC code provides a whole meal for a hungry child.”
