SOMETHING SIMPLE
This was a photo taken in Paris, while visiting the famous art school, Beaux-Arts. The students were setting up for their exhibitions, and their pieces was everywhere. In between rooms, and buildings, was this simple combination of paint, cement and structure. It was not meant to be part of any exhibition, just a random musing on the wall…amidst a few other graffiti moments. Yet, I thought it was just as interesting as some of the rest. I didn’t want to take a picture of any of the current art on file in the different rooms. All of the works inside were set up to be evaluated by professors, who would determine which students continued on with their studies. It didn’t feel right. And, I never really see the point in taking pictures of paintings. Only sculptures. But taking a photo outside of this tub? That felt appropriate, and just as cool. Sometimes it is all in the simplicity….
