New GLEE Apparel Launches With Los Angeles In-Store Event on Eve of Grammy® Awards
CENTURY CITY, CA (February 10, 2012) - It may be winter, but GLEE is heating up! Fresh on the heels of the hit Michael Jackson tribute episode and a Grammy®-nominated album, Forever 21 is launching an all-new, exclusive GLEE Collection this month. The hot, fashion-forward apparel line will be supported by a launch party at the Hollywood & Highland location in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 11, 2012. GLEE star (and "The Glee Project" Season One winner) Damian McGinty will be on hand to meet the fans.
Forever 21's GLEE Collection was designed by Awake, Inc., in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products. The new line includes a range of adorable fashion tops and trendy terrycloth sweatsuits inspired by the show's positive messages and popular cast with prices ranging from $18.80-$22.80.
At the in-store launch event, fans can shop the exclusive GLEE Collection while listening to their favorite GLEE songs and drinking slushies from GLEE branded tumblers. A qualifying purchase gives fans the chance to meet and greet Damian McGinty who plays Rory, an Irish heartthrob and exchange student on the show. The event will be held from 4-6 pm.
"GLEE has a devoted fan base, so we wanted to introduce something new and exciting, while still reflecting the key messages from the show," said Jeffrey Godsick, president of Fox Consumer Products. "Forever 21 has a lot in common with the fans - young, hip, eclectic - so it's the perfect combination for a partnership."
