Thursday night’s Glee Season 4, Episode 4: “The Break-Up,” mainly focuses on the crumbling relationships of established couples like Klaine, Finchel, and Brittana — but you may be surprised to learn that bratty new cheerleader Kitty (Becca Tobin) gets a decent amount of screentime, too.Kitty won’t just be fading away in the coming weeks, either. Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with actress Becca Tobin at Glee’s Season 4 premiere party, and she told us Kitty’s storyline is about to experience a bit of a shakeup during one of the show’s upcoming episodes.
What’s happening for you with Glee?
Just a million things, rehearsals, Episode 5, we're working on it, it’s coming along and I’m very excited. I think that that's going to be when everybody gets to know Kitty. There's a turning point for Kitty.
What brings on the turning point?
You'll just have to watch, but it's an exciting episode. The writers do come up a lot and they say they love writing for Kitty because she's terrible. And who doesn't love to do that?
Is it Ian who's like the person who likes writing for Kitty?
I've had the most interaction with Michael Hitchcock who — I can't say it enough — is just like the most talented human being ever. I just saw him [as the quirky Gary from “Expanding Families”] on The New Normal, and then he writes these amazing episodes. I'm just in awe of him.
