Glee-Dux: Guess Who's Back?! V-Day Episode Delivers Romance, Smooches and Shockers!

Glee, Lea Michele, Jeff Goldblum, Brian Stokes Mitchel
Well done, Glee. You managed to make us believe that tonight's Valentine's Day was just an episode about love and romance. But then you went ahead and dropped a huge surprise on us!
Not only did we get a shocking return that'll bring on a big storyline next episode, but we also got something that Glee fans have been waiting forever for. Plus, Regionals is about to blow your mindhole…

Vanessa Lengies Teases Sugar's Sweet Valentine's Day and 'Jaw-Dropping' Winter Finale!

When TVLine first interviewed Vanessa Lengies about recurring on Fox’s Glee this season, she could only hope that sassy Sugar Motta would stick around beyond the introduction of the Trouble Tones. Now midway through Season 3 — and barreling into the show’s winter break — she must marvel at how things turned out. “I mean, look — I’m doing Regionals and dancing my ass off!”
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Regionals are still a week away (hi, Community fans!), and before then there’s the none-too-small matter of Miss Motta’s Valentine’s Day revelry.
“Sugar is getting love from all angles in this week’s episode,” Lengies raves. “She’s having boys fight over her, her daddy is throwing her a rager, her outfits are just getting better and better…. All the cards are coming up Sugar, for sure!”

First turning to the aforementioned boys, as seen in the photo below, Sugar will have both Artie (played by Kevin McHale) and Rory (Damian McGinty) vying for her affections. “The person who does the confetti locker for her definitely wins that round,” the actress shares. “But there are multiple rounds of winning Sugar’s heart in this episode, which is really hard to do when you don’t know what she likes or is thinking at any moment.”

Bakersfield Shelter Dog To Be Featured On 'Glee'!

Dog Becomes Valentine's Day Gift On Sitcom

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- It has been said that shelter dogs are the best dogs.
From a diving dog, a three-legged surfing and therapy dog and now a television star, all have been rescued from the Kern County Animal Shelter.

Zeke, a black and white terrier mix, was 2 months old when he was found wandering the streets of Bakersfield.

Zeke waited at the shelter for someone to claim him and when no one did, the Shelter Rescue Coordinator sought out the perfect rescue home for Zeke.

Zeke was rescued and found his way down South to the home of a trainer that soon recognized that Zeke was destined for Hollywood and a little sitcom called “Glee.”

“It is an exciting feeling to know that your efforts have paid off in such a high profile way,” said Shelter Supervisor Nick Cullen. “It is always rewarding when one of our furry friends finds a forever home.”

When the email came announcing that Zeke could be seen in an upcoming episode of “Glee,” the name of the episode was not released to animal control.

However, from photos received, it is believed that Zeke plays a Valentine's Day gift and will be on this week’s episode.

It's Official: Glee Will Dedicate Valentine's Day Episode to Whitney Houston

Tomorrow night's Glee episode was shot before Whitney Houston's death, but producers have found a way to dedicate the hour to the late great musical icon.
A rep for 20th Century, the studio that produces Glee, just confirmed to us:

"Purely coincidentally, the episode contains Mercedes (Amber Riley) singing 'I Will Always Love You,' the Dolly Parton song Houston made famous in The Bodyguard. The producers have decided to dedicate the episode to Houston's memory with a card in the end credits."

Riley told our Marc Malkin she met Houston for the first time on Thursday. "I didn't need her to take a picture with me. I didn't need an autograph. The fact that she even acknowledged that I was standing there was enough for me," she said.
"I was very broken up [on Sunday]," Riley continued. "My dad actually called me and told me. He was like, 'Are you driving because I'll need you to pull over,' because he knows how much I love Whitney Houston."
On tomorrow night's Glee, we'll learn more about who Riley's character Mercedes loves, as she weighs her feelings between Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Shane (LaMarcus Tinker), which is the impetus for her singing Houston's version of her seminal song.

'Glee' Producers Mulling Whitney Houston Tribute on Tuesday (Audio)

UPDATED: The late singer's "I Will Always Love You" — a cover of Dolly Parton's 1974 hit — will be a pivotal part of the Fox series' Valentine's Day episode on Tuesday.

With a cover of Whitney Houston/Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" set to be included in the Tuesday, Feb. 14, episode of Glee, producers of the Fox musical dramedy on Saturday were mulling whether to add a tribute to the late singer during the episode.

The song, which Houston covered in 1992, will be a big number in Tuesday's Glee, with Amber Riley's Mercedes set to perform it as she struggles to decide between ex Sam (Chord Overstreet) and current boyfriend Shane (LaMarcus Tinker).

A spokesman for 20th Television, the studio behind Glee, told The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday that the Valentine's Day-themed episode, titled "Heart," had been finished and delivered to the network on Friday, with Glee producers currently considering going back into the episode to pay tribute to Houston, who died Saturday. A title card possibly dedicating the episode to Houston or acknowledging her passing following the episode would seem an easy addition.

Written by Parton in 1973 and released as a single the following year, the song was covered by Houston for the 1992 feature film The Bodyguard, in which she starred opposite Kevin Costner. Houston's rendition spent 14 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a record at the time, and surpassed her previous record for 1986's "Greatest Love of All" from her debut album. Houston's version went on to win Grammys for record of the year and best female pop vocal performance.
Houston died Saturday. She was 48.

All-New Valentine's Episode Promo!

E! Spoilery Chat!

Kelsey: Anything on Samuel Larson's role on Glee? Can't wait for his first episode!
Based on a musical number we heard Glee is preparing, we suspect they are setting up Samuel to romance (or at least strike up an unlikely friendship) with a gal at McKinley High. We don't want to spoil anything, but we will eliminate Rachel (Lea Michele) and Sugar (Vanessa Lengies) in this scenario. Also, it's precisely the girl Samuel has once said he'd like to be hooked up with. Hmmm!

Glee 3x13 "Heart" - Promo!

Glee-Dux: Ricky Martin Brings the Heat! Plus, Scoop on Regionals!

Heather Morris, Ricky Martin, Harry Shum Jr, Glee
¡Ay, caramba!
Tonight's episode of Glee reminded us why we swooned so much over Ricky Martin back when he was just "Livin' la Vida Loca." But he also served as a mentor of sorts for our dear Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison). Let's break down this special Spanish episode of Glee, and take a peek at the big Regionals episode coming up…

WHAT LIES AHEAD

Mr. Schuester Starred in an After-School Special:
Find your dreams, Will! When David showed up as the superior Spanish teacher and had superior passion about teaching the subject, it made Will question everything he was doing. Even Santana got on his back about his career path, in what was a pretty intense yet sweet moment between teacher and student. Plus, we've always been suckers for Will's inner monologues. Reminds us of Season One Glee.

We are not, however, suckers for how Will treated Emma (Jayma Mays) midway through the episode. Sure, he was frustrated, and his ego was a bit crushed due to David's Spanish sexiness, but why you gotta snap at your fiancée? Especially when she was trying to show you something she was passionate about: her cleverly titled pamphlets. In the end, it all worked out: Mr. Schue will teach History, he gave his Spanish teaching position to the much more qualified David, and he apologized to his lovely Emma. Sometimes the road to finding your dreams is a bumpy one, and sometimes you dress like a matador.

Kurt Does Not Support Finn and Rachel's Engagement: Rachel (Lea Michele) revealed to her besties Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) that she was engaged to Finn. Naturally, they scoffed at the idea of their star possibly giving up everything to stay together with Finn. Rachel came back with a fair point: What would Kurt do if Blaine proposed? His silence was the only answer she needed.

Later, Kurt approached Finn (Cory Monteith) about the engagement, insisting that putting a ring on Rachel's finger meant that he was giving up on himself, and that Finn should still be pursing a bright future beyond just being Rachel's man. We agree with Kurt, even though we believe that Finn and Rachel really do love each other. Do they love each other enough to survive transitioning from high school to college? That remains to be seen.

Mercedes Chooses Marcus…Kind of: After Emma counseled the non-couple about their feelings for each other (with a pamphlet, natch), Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes went into radio silence. That didn't stop Sam from singing her a sweet rendition of "Bamboleo"/"Hero" in the choir room. None of that mattered in the end, since Mercedes basically picked Marcus in the end. Of course, she gave a long, lingering look to her summer fling in the hallway, which was a giant "this love triangle isn't over yet!" sign.

Sue Wants a Baby: Why didn't Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) think of procreating before? As silly as this storyline was, it was so sweet to see Sue admit to Emma that she wanted Will to father her child so her kid would inherit his kind-hearted genes. And as much as we loved Roz Washington (NeNe Leakes) going toe-to-toe with Sue, we miss the good ol' fashioned hair jokes that spewed forth when Will and Coach Sylvester fought. So are we throwing Sue a Glee-themed baby shower in the future or what?

Rewind moment: Finn's facial expression when Will tells him he's an "authentic Spanish matador."
ONE-LINERS
"William, will you please remove that enormous sombrero so I can break it down for you?!"—Figgins
"I'm sorry, I'm trying to listen, but you have some beautiful teeth."—Night school student
"In jail. Or dead. Or Both."—Puck predicting his future
"It is so inappropriate for you to ask him to father your child."—Emma's understatement to Sue

Brittana Fans, Gird Your Loins: Brittany and Santana aren't in the final eight of our TV's Top Couples tournament by accident: They are a much beloved couple by the fans, and in the Valentine's Day episode (next Tuesday), Brittana will love the fans right back in the form of some long overdue PDA. Trust us, you'll be squealing in happiness next week.

Regionals: You know what happens when Glee does a Regionals episode, right? Lots o' drama. And this season's Regionals episode will be no different. But let's first focus on how cute Lea Michele and Cory Monteith are in this photo he tweeted today! The gang is filming Regionals scenes all this week, and our little spies have spotted Rachel's dads and Finn and Kurt's parents in the audience. Plus, Sebastian will be back to cause more problems, of course. And this time, it has nothing to do with going after Blaine.

Quinn Comes Roaring Back: Even though the Michael episode seemed like a storyline wrap-up for our dear Quinn, we hear she's got something coming up that'll remind us of the old Cheerio captain from days of yore (Season One). But don't worry, Finchel enthusiasts…she won't be trying to win Finn's heart yet again.
What did you guys think of Ricky Martin and Santana helping Will find his way? Excited for the V-Day episode? See you Gleeks downstairs in the comments.
