'Glee' Preview: 10 Things to Know About 'Choke'!

Songs, trailers and spoilers: THR got a sneak of Tuesday's episode and has a look at what to expect.

Only a few episodes stand between Rachel, Finn, Kurt and the rest of New Directions before Glee marches its seniors across the graduation stage into its mysterious fourth season.

The stakes are extremely high during Tuesday's "Choke" hour in which Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) have their day before NYADA's imposing dean, Carmen (Whoopi Goldberg in the first of her multiepisode arc).

The Hollywood Reporter was among those to screen the hour early and has 10 things every Gleek should know heading into the episode that stands to alter the course for a handful of seniors.

1. Puck (Mark Salling) is thisclose to not making the grade and graduating and gets a peek at his future from his father that prompts him to work harder.

2. The mohawked one uses music, naturally, to help him vent his frustrations and … study, getting a solo on Alice Cooper's "School's Out" and with the New Directions guys taking on My Fair Lady's "The Rain in Spain."

3. Rachel and Kurt audition for NYADA's Carmen (Goldberg), an intimidating presence and herself a former Broadway star. One decides to take a risk, the other plays it safe.

4. The NYADA hopefuls each have solos -- Kurt takes on "Not the Boy Next Door" from The Boy From Oz, while Rachel performs Kelly Clarkson's "Cry" -- which may or may not be their audition songs.

5. The Trouble Tones are back (with Tina!) -- and living up to their name, which prompts two performances -- Chicago's "Cell Block Tango" and Florence + the Machine's "Shake It Out" -- both elicit completely different responses.

6. Roz (Nene Leakes) and Sue (Jane Lynch) … agree and work together on something, but that doesn't stop the barbs between the rivals from flying fast and hilariously furious.

7. There are lots of tears of sadness in the episode -- and more than one person will cry.

8. Tina has more to do and the mysterious Phantom of the Opera photo is explained, but the Phantom isn't who you'd expect.

9. Dot Marie Jones proves again why she got (her Emmy nomination).

10. The prom talks are already beginning for Mike, Tina and Brittany -- who, as student body president, has a doozy of an idea for the theme.

Glee Sneak Peek: Watch Rachel Prepare for the Audition of a Lifetime With Finn's Help!

Welcome back, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele)!

With her NYADA audition rapidly approaching, Rachel is reverting to her pilot ways on Glee this Tuesday, meaning she's at her neurotic best, and we couldn't be happier.

So how is Rachel preparing for the biggest audition of her life? And why is she refusing to kiss fiancé Finn (Cory Monteith)?! We've got an exclusive sneak peek at "Choke," which will answer those questions—plus you'll finally find out what Rachel's "presidential" face looks like.

How ah-mah-zing is Rachel's inner monologue throughout the scene?!

In typical Rachel fashion, she's super focused and regimented before the NYADA audition to ensure that she's in tip-top shape.

Some of the precautions she's taking? No doorknobs (don't worry, Finn's more than happy to play her personal door-opener) and no kisses (sorry, Finn, you win some, you lose some!), as well as no stepping on cracks. Oh, and walking backward down the hallway. Can't forget about that! Glee fans should probably be preparing themselves for a cloudy day on Wednesday, as Rachel is determined to shine so bright during her audition that "the sun is going to cry with envy."

We're thinking Finchel fans will particularly love the moment when Finn helps Rachel practice her many faces in the mirror. (How cute is Finn with the timer?!) Our favorite? Presidential! Plus, there's a little wink—literally—to fans of Rachel and Puck (Mark Salling) (remember those days?!) thrown in the clip for good measure!

Still, Rachel's intense and makeout-less preparations may all be for nothing considering the episode is titled "Choke" and the synopsis says Rachel and Kurt (Chris Colfer) will receive news that could possibly send their well-laid plans into a tailspin. Yikes!

Glee airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.

'Glee' scoop: Details on next week's emotional, pivotal episode 'Choke'!

As we get closer to the May 22 season finale of Glee, the stakes are getting higher, which is evident in next week’s episode, “Choke.” EW got an early look at the hilarious, but also emotional hour, which finds Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) auditioning for NYADA (in the form of guest star Whoopi Goldberg, who does a great, subdued turn). For Gleeks, this episode is a pivotal one since this is what the high schoolers, especially Rachel, have been working towards for the last three years. It does not disappoint. Both actors, especially Michele, deliver stellar performances. I don’t want to give away too much but — SPOILER ALERT — here are a few other teases…

Beiste (Dot Marie Jones) returns but has her own domestic drama to deal with; Jones is totally heartbreaking.

Sue (Jane Lynch) and Roz (Nene Leakes) have a sit-down meeting in which Sue refers to Roz and Beiste as “Black Sue” and “John Goodman,” respectively.

Kurt covers “The Boy Next Door” from The Boy From Oz while wearing tight, gold lamé pants. That boy can kick!

Puck (Mark Salling) has a big storyline about whether or not he’ll be able to graduate (turns out he’s not the best student), which leads to a cover of “School’s Out” that culminates on the McKinley football field.

To help tutor Puck in geography, the New Direction boys perform a rocking version of “The Rain in Spain” from My Fair Lady.

Santana (Naya Rivera), Mercedes (Amber Riley), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Brittany (Heather Morris), and

Sugar (Vanessa Lengies) do covers of both “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago and a stripped down version of Florence + the Machine’s “Shake It Out.”

Blaine (Darren Criss) gives Mike (Harry Shum, Jr.) hair tips.

Sam (Chord Overstreet) is in a tank top.

Rachel caps the episode with a soaring take on Kelly Clarkson’s “Cry.”

Next week’s Glee is so pivotal, it could change the lives of not one, not two, not three, not four… Wait, yes, four. Glee Scoop: Lindsay Lohan, Tears and More in the Weeks Ahead!

Glee fans, have you fully prepared yourself for graduation?
If you haven't yet, the episodes ahead will certainly force you to deal with the fact that Rachel, Finn, Kurt and Co. will be graduating from McKinley soon. And we also asked a certain fan-favorite if they'll be returning for the finale. Plus, are Joe and Quinn for real? Here's the scoop…

Audition Drama: The big audition episode is called "Choke," so that should tell you more than you need to know about Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt's (Chris Colfer) NYADA experience. Still want more details? Let's just say that when the day is done, only one of those two will be feeling confident about NYADA.

Quinn and Joe: Most of the comments toward the developing relationship between Joe (Samuel Larsen) and Quinn (Dianna Agron) were negative. So those who are not a fan of the couple aren't going to like this bit of info: Quinn and Joe will continue to get closer, especially right before Nationals.

Lindsay Lohan Trouble? We're still not sure if Lindsay Lohan can pull off her guest role as a judge at Nationals, but sources had recently told us that she was really enjoying working on Glee and doing a great job. But today, Dot Marie Jones (Coach Beiste) tweeted (and later deleted): "Gonna be a long day!! Some ppl show up late and just throw a wrench in things. Not cool! I'd rather be an hour early (I was) than 5 minutes late!" Of course we can't say for certain she was talking about Lohan, but people have been speculating that our resident bad girl was the one holding up production today. We want to see Lindsay bounce back and get back to her glory Mean Girls days, so here's hoping her guest spot is filming smoothly.

Graduation Blues: The Whitney Houston tribute was basically the start of the McKinley High's goodbye tour. There will be lots more scenes between friends that'll make certain fanbases get all misty-eyed and nostalgic. Expect more stuff like Rachel and Santana's (Naya Rivera) conversation last night, meaning some people still need to talk about the past before they can move into the future.


Karofsky Returns? People are still asking us about Dave Karofsky and if he'll ever return to Glee, so we brought the question right to Max Adler. Here's what he had to say to us: "There's always a chance. There's a chance for everything. I've loved playing him, and I would love to play this character the rest of my life. As always, it's not up to me." Start writing those letters to Ryan Murphy! Or emails. Whatever you crazy kids use these days to communicate.

May 8: “Prom-asaurus”
Brittany goes into high gear as class president to spearhead the prom. Then, after prom king and queen nominations are announced, the kids kick into campaign mode, and some of the outcasts organize a rival celebration.

May 15: “Props” and Title TBD (Two back-to-back episodes)
As the countdown to graduation continues, New Directions prepares a high-concept routine for Nationals. When Tina bumps her head, the world of New Directions is turned upside down in her eyes. Then in the second episode, the NDs perform at Nationals for celebrity judge Lindsay Lohan (guest-starring as herself).

May 22: Title TBD (Season Finale)
In the Season 3 finale, graduation is finally here, as McKinley High’s class of 2012 looks to the past and present, while contemplating their future.

Rebecca Staab to Appear on Glee!

Former The Young and the Restless, Guiding Light, Port Charles and Loving star Rebecca Staab will be getting her flirt on in upcoming episode of Glee. Staab’s character will be purring like a cougar as she flirts with Puck (Mark Salling), according to Soaps in Depth.

"No singing. Just walkin' and talkin' and flirting with Puck while in a bikini," Staab tells Soaps In Depth. "Cougar stuff."

Staab will appear in the episode titled "Choke" later this season. "My scene is breif, but it's difficult to get on this show, so I'm thrilled.
