Glee has never shied away from tackling tough issues. Bullying, suicide, being disowned by a family member, and — as we saw with Sue’s (Jane Lynch) sister back in Season 2 — even death.
Now, Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) life hangs in the balance, and we won’t find out for sure whether she lives or dies until Glee returns from hiatus on April 10. (Unless you read the spoilers, of course.)
Obviously, very few of us want to see Quinn dead — many of you even say you’ll be done with the show for good if they kill her off! But if the Final Destination horror movies have taught us anything, it’s that if one person manages to cheat death, death will not be satisfied until it has managed to claim another victim.
So, if Quinn does manage to pull through, and death requires another victim, which current cast member do you hope goes in her place? And no copping out by picking a minor character we’ve barely seen all year. Go big or go home, people! Who would you kill off?
- Rachel (Lea Michele) Kill off the one character who feels, most often, to be at the center of the entire show? Hey, Ryan Murphy did kill off the entire cast of his other show, American Horror Story. (Well, sort of.) So while Rachel’s death is unlikely, we still wouldn’t put it past him!
- Finn (Cory Monteith) Of course, it would be heartbreaking to see Finn go. But are fans, in general, really as emotionally attached to him as to some of the other Glee characters?
- Kurt (Chris Colfer) The only reason we’d be okay with this is because it’d give Chris Colfer the opportunity to move on to bigger things. He’s already an author, screenwriter, and movie star. We’re sure there can only be even more to come!
- Blaine (Darren Criss) There was Glee before Blaine, right? In fact, there was an entire season of it! So technically there could still be Glee without him. We’re just not sure it would ever be the same...
- Mercedes (Amber Riley) Vocally, she’s one of McKinely’s strongest singers. On a character level, Mercedes just doesn’t get as many storylines as some of her peers. But she’s an amazing friend to so many people, and we love seeing her and Sam together.
- Sam (Chord Overstreet) We were already heartbroken enough when he left McKinley and moved out of state earlier this year. Now that Sam’s back, we don’t think we could bear the thought of losing him again! Sending a guy off to work at a strip club is one thing — killing him off entirely is another thing altogether!
- Will (Matthew Morrison) The McKinley glee club could always get another teacher, though we can’t help but think that Glee just wouldn’t be the same without Mr. Schue imparting his advice and knowledge each week. Plus, can you imagine what his death would do to poor Emma (Jayma Mays)? She’d be crushed!
There’s still so many more Glee characters to choose from. Death might decide to come after our beloved Santana (Naya Rivera) or Brittany (Heather Morris). Or what about the just-introduced Joe Hart (Samuel Larsen), or our favorite new villain Sebastian (Grant Gustin)?
Let’s not forget about Puck (Mark Salling), Rory (Damian McGinty), Artie (Kevin McHale), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) or Mike (Harry Shum Jr.)! That’s a lot of names to consider. If Glee HAD to kill of someone — who do you think it should be?
