With two more debuts this week, the cast of Fox's "Glee" ups its total of career charted songs on the Billboard Hot 100 to a milestone 200 titles. Amazingly, the TV troupe has reached the sum in less than three years.

The cast first appeared on the Hot 100 the week of June 6, 2009, led by the No. 4 arrival of its cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'." The act's highest charted entry to date even bested the peak of the original version, which rocked to No. 9 in 1981.

This week, the "Glee" cast hits an even 200 career Hot 100 appearances, as its remake of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" - the original of which becomes the new No. 1 song on the Hot 100 - debuts at No. 26 and its mash-up of Duran Duran's '80s smashes "Hungry Like the Wolf" and "Rio" enters at No. 98. ("Somebody" marks the 61st charted remake of a Hot 100 No. 1 with which the "Glee" ensemble has charted.)

Here is a recap of the acts with the most Hot 100 hits dating to the chart's inception the week of Aug. 4, 1958. (Under its current formula, the chart blends Nielsen Music digital sales and airplay data for the majority of its weekly points total, with streaming data accounting for a smaller percentage):

(Presley's career predates the Hot 100's launch. Combining his songs that reached various Hot 100 predecessor charts beginning in 1956, his total would swell to an unofficial 139, according to Billboard historian Joel Whitburn's reference book "Top Pop Singles.")

Notably, despite the cast's record total of Hot 100 visits, most "Glee" songs spend a mere one week on the chart. Only 33 of its 200 entries have racked more than a single frame on the list, with "Believin' " leading with seven charted weeks total. As "Glee" releases multiple tracks alongside each new episode, fans generally move on each week to the cast's next available batch of songs.

The "Glee" cast has charted almost exclusively with updates of songs already made popular by other acts, although original track "Loser Like Me" remains its second-highest-charted hit, having reached No. 6 last year. (The cast notched the other of its three Hot 100 top 10s with a remake of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream.")

More recently, the series has begun to help create hits for other acts. On its Dec. 6 episode, "Glee" covered then-uncharted and little-known fun.'s "We Are Young." The cover debuted on the Hot 100 at its No. 12 peak and the original entered at No. 53 the week of Dec. 24, 2011 - two months before fun.'s version reached the chart's top 40 (spurred by its inclusion in a Chevrolet Sonic ad that aired during the Super Bowl). This week, fun.'s version of "Young" falls 1-2 on the Hot 100 after six weeks in charge, ceding the top spot to "Somebody," one of the show's latest remakes.

After breaking the 200-hit barrier this week, the "Glee" cast could keep extending its Hot 100 record total as soon as next week, when remakes of songs by the Bee Gees and other '70s acts could debut following last night's (April 17) disco-centric, polyester-infused episode, "Saturday Night Glee-ver."

Finn, Santana and Mercedes' post-McKinley High plans are crystallized as the Fox dramedy takes on "Saturday Night Fever.

Glee welcomed the return of a familiar but not-so-friendly face and a Glee Project runner-up Tuesday when the Fox dramedy took on songs from the soundtrack of the '70s, Saturday Night Fever.  
Darren Criss' Blaine opened the episode with a cover of the Bee Gees' "You Should be Dancing" -- with support from Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) and Brittany (Heather Morris) -- explaining the theme for Nationals: Vintage, with a flashback to Will's (Matthew Morrison) time with glee club. Did anyone else think high school Will looked a lot like Jesse Eisenberg?! Here are the scene-stealers and shockers from Tuesday's "Saturday Night Glee-ver" episode.

1. Will reveals that three of the New Directions seniors are in trouble: Finn, who has talent but no self-esteem; Mercedes, who lacks vision; and Santana, who has ambition but no focus and wants to skip college.
2. Enter Alex Newell, The Glee Project's co-runner up, who is the biggest fan of Mercedes and Kurt. He plays Wade Adams, a member of Vocal Adrenaline, who's there to seek advice about how to handle his coach, Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff). Scene-stealer: Newell, who's alter ego Unique, speaks in the third person and refers to herself as the love child of Kurt and Mercedes -- both embracing Newell's love of drag and staying true to Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's vision of who he'd play on the flagship series.
3. Sue and Will bribe New Directions -- with a replica of John Travolta's costume from Saturday Night Fever -- to participate in the disco-themed project. While the auto-tune on "Night Fever" was a bit over the top it was a fun way to get the entire cast to stage a group number and proved that the show doesn't always need a big stage. Scene-stealer: the whole cast.

4. Mercedes reveals her dream for the future: to be like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston ("rest in peace," she says, a nice touch) and Aretha Franklin. But she doesn't know how to achieve them and is scared to even think about moving to L.A., especially without her father's support. Scene-stealer: Sam, who recorded her cover of the Tramps' "Disco Inferno," and still believes in Mercedes despite their failed romantic reunion.
5. Finn tells Puck that he can't go with him to L.A., because it's not his dream. After reassuring Puck that he can make it in L.A. without him, Puck makes his best friend vow to not only follow his dreams but to dream big.
6. Santana sings Yvonne Elliman's "If I Can't Have You" in a swoonworthy love song to Brittany that Will interprets as a career quest for LGBT marriage equality, and law school. But Santana clarifies: Her second love is fame and is 1,000 percent sure she'll be famous, if it's the last thing she does. Scene-stealer: the writers for the brilliant gem Santana hurls at the often seen but never heard "man child piano player."
7. Rachel and Finn, back on speaking terms, Rachel says they don't have to go to New York and finally takes the time to help Finn explore what his may be. She says her home isn't "some place, it's someone": Finn. She wants them to go to New York but not until they give Finn a shot at his dreams. She apologizes in song, naturally. Scene-stealer: Finn, who after meeting with Will and Emma, dumps all the college brochures and lets everyone, including Rachel, think he's weighing his collegiate options.

8. Santana gets her fame: Two Girls, One Cat, a sex tape that Brittany spliced together with footage of her cat Lord Tubbington performing household chores. Later, she suggests Santana do something outlandish and score herself a gig on a reality show, like Fear Factor. Scene-stealer: Where do we get a copy of Lord Tubbington's hilarity?!
9. Finn's busted. Will knew Finn was just humoring them and confronts the New Directions captain about his future. An angry and emotional Finn says he's not qualified to do anything and wants time to stop, he wants to keep that feeling of being young, and in keeping with the week's assignment, Will forces him to watch Saturday Night Fever.
10. Sue suggests Kurt and Mercedes convince Wade to embrace Unique and go out on stage in drag in an effort to get their rivals to tank. When they go to stop him -- it is small-town Ohio, after all -- it's too late and Wade has already decided to embrace how he feels inside, that he identifies as a woman, and Unique covers KC & the Sunshine Band's "Boogie Shoes," as Vocal Adrenaline coach Jesse St freaks out. But Sue's plan backfires and the crowed eats up Unique's performance. Scene-stealer: Newell for embracing the person he is.

11. All the couples on the floor: Finn covers the Bee Gees' "More Than a Woman" while dancing with Rachel as Kurt and Blaine, Santana and Brittany as well as Mike and Tina share a sweet dance. He uses the song to reveal what he's going to do next year: He wants to move to New York and live with Rachel and study at the Actors Studio. His dream is to be an actor. Scene-stealer: both. It's nice to see them back on the same page.
12. Sam posts Mercedes' performance on YouTube -- to rave reviews. "I believe in you, and what you can become and now complete strangers believe in you, too," he tells her. "It's time for this dream to stop being a dream and become a reality." Scene-stealer: Both of them, as it's a Samcedes reunion!
13. Santana's (possible) future is revealed: Sue informs her fame-seeking Cheerio that she's been accepted on a full scholarship to the University of Louisville, the nation's top cheerleading program. Aware that she doesn't want to be a cheerleader all her life, Sue tells her it'll get her foot in the door. The best part: the whole thing was Brittany's idea as the couple professes their love for one another. Scene-stealer: Brittany. Best. Girlfriend. Ever.
14. The episode ends with a full New Directions staged performance of the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive," in full Travolta attire, with Sue and Will joining the group as their disco-themed mission is accomplished: Finn, Mercedes and Santana all have a better plan for their respective futures. Scene-stealer: Jane Lynch finally getting to be a part of a full cast performance, singing and dancing. More shimmy, please!
