GLEE Fans: becca tobin

Thursday night’s Glee Season 4, Episode 4: “The Break-Up,” mainly focuses on the crumbling relationships of established couples like Klaine, Finchel, and Brittana — but you may be surprised to learn that bratty new cheerleader Kitty (Becca Tobin) gets a decent amount of screentime, too.

Kitty won’t just be fading away in the coming weeks, either. Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with actress Becca Tobin at Glee’s Season 4 premiere party, and she told us Kitty’s storyline is about to experience a bit of a shakeup during one of the show’s upcoming episodes.

What’s happening for you with Glee?
Just a million things, rehearsals, Episode 5, we're working on it, it’s coming along and I’m very excited. I think that that's going to be when everybody gets to know Kitty. There's a turning point for Kitty.

What brings on the turning point?
You'll just have to watch, but it's an exciting episode. The writers do come up a lot and they say they love writing for Kitty because she's terrible. And who doesn't love to do that?

Is it Ian who's like the person who likes writing for Kitty?
I've had the most interaction with Michael Hitchcock who — I can't say it enough — is just like the most talented human being ever. I just saw him [as the quirky Gary from “Expanding Families”] on The New Normal, and then he writes these amazing episodes. I'm just in awe of him.

It won't take long for Glee to welcome back some of McKinley's most recent alums. Not every member of the Fox musical's sprawling cast will be featured prominently in every episode, but the series will see some familiar faces return in the fifth episode of the season when Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) make their way back to Ohio.

The duo, who graduated at the end of season three and headed for the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago and Los Angeles, respectively, will come back to their former stomping grounds to lend Artie a hand with a mysterious situation.

The Hollywood Reporter caught up with members of the Glee cast on Monday at Fox's annual Fall Eco Casino party in Culver City to get the scoop on what Gleeks can expect from Thursday's fourth season premiere and beyond. The results: romance, attitude and partial nudity.
