E! Spoilery Chat: Scoop on Glee!

GLEE
Matty: Burt and Kurt’s relationship is the best part of Glee, so I want scoop on those two!
You are so in luck, because we just chatted with Mike O’Malley and guess what? Burt is taking the Big Apple by storm! “I’m in the Christmas episode,” he tells us. “I get to go to New York.” Any chance Burt will catch his son Kurt rocking the fashion world? “I don’t see him in action at Vogue. I don’t think they want Burt up in Vogue,” O’Malley jokes.

Jody in Colo.: What happened to Sugar and Artie? They were so cute together on Glee!
“I think Sugar has had this off and on romance with Artie,” Vanessa Lengies tells us. “She’s had a thing for him, but I think she’s socially pretty awkward, so it hasn’t really blossomed. But there are hints of it all the time.” And since Damien McGinty is coming back for the Christmas episode, we had to ask if we were going to get some sparks between Rory and Sugar. “Sugar is not in the Christmas episode,” Lengies says sadly. “So, Sugar and [Rory] do not meet again.” Bummer city!

Chris Colfer Talks Glee's Thanksgiving, Klaine's Realization and His Big Apple Dreams for Kurt!

Thanksgiving arrives (a week late) on Fox’s Glee this Thursday at 9/8c, and Chris Colfer has much to be grateful for. In addition to his role as Kurt, who has been transplanted to New York City alongside Lea Michele’s Rachel, Colfer penned Struck By Lightning, an indie comedy that rolls out on VOD/iTunes Dec. 19 (before hitting theaters in January) — and at the time we met up with the actor/author/screenwriter, he was touring the East Coast to tout his novelization of same.

After signing copies for a line of fans that wrapped around a New Jersey bookstore, Colfer spoke with TVLine about the many hats he wears, how Glee is different now that he “commutes” to the Big Apple, his excitement over having a “Kiki” with Sarah Jessica Parker and a realization “Klaine” is about to have.

TVLINE | Your first book, Land of Stories, came out in July. What’s the experience been like for you, between that, the Struck By Lightning movie and now its novelization?

It’s been so busy, but it’s great to kind of stretch my legs and give light to the passion projects. I have no complaints!

TVLINE | Was the process for getting the movie together easier or harder than you expected?

Oh, it was much harder. It’s funny because I always thought — this was when I was, like, 7 — that my first movie would be hard to get done, but it would be easy from then on. Now, I’m learning that, no, it’s always going to be challenging, because every time a movie gets made it’s really a miracle.

Tv Guide Spoiler!

I love seeing Jake and Puck together on Glee! Will we get more of the Puckerman brothers soon? — Alice
Yes, Glee's holiday episode will set the stage for the brothers' reunion, as well as the introduction of Jake's mother. "[Aisha Tyler] starts in our Christmas episode and you really get all of the details of their whole backstory — what happened with Jake and his mom and the dad, so you'll definitely get to explore that whole scenario," Jacob Artist tells us. The best part? The Puckerman boys will duet on "Hanukkah Oh Hannukkah." We'll light the menorah to that!

Glee Exclusive: Chris Colfer Gifts Us With Scoop on Klaine's Christmas Reunion!

“Klaine” fans will have a special something waiting for them under the tree when Glee unwraps its Christmas episode, “Glee, Actually,” on Dec. 13.

Glee bossman Ryan Murphy started the Twitterverse buzzing by promising a holiday duet for the estranged Kurt and Blaine.

Chris Colfer added fuel to fans’ fire this week by tweeting a photo of him and castmate Darren Criss (at right) laced up for skating at the Bryant Park rink in midtown Manhattan.

So, what exactly is going on?

“We were skating to ‘(I’m Dreaming of a) White Christmas’ — because I don’t know about you, but I definitely skate with my exes and sing Christmas carols all the time!” Colfer told TVLine when we visited a book-signing for Struck By Lightning, an adaptation of his screenplay for the same-named indie film hitting iTunes and VOD Dec. 19 (and theaters on Jan. 11).

Colfer also teased that during this intrinsically romantic reunion, Kurt and Blaine arrive at a certain “realization” that will set the course for whatever lies ahead for the onetime couple.

Lastly, does Blaine surprise Kurt with this latest visit to the Big Apple? “There’s a reason he’s there…,” Colfer allowed, “but it’s kind of a secret.”

Ask Ausiello Spoilers!

Question: What’s the story behind the Brittany-Sam wedding photo that Glee boss Ryan Murphy tweeted last week? Are they getting married? —Rich

Ausiello: Can’t confirm a wedding. But I can confirm a one-sided crush. Bonus scoop: I have an answer to the question I posed at the end of this recent Glee story (Might Tyler’s character have a run-in with the other Mrs. Puckerman, a.k.a. the mother of Jake’s half-brother Puck [Mark Salling], who has appeared on and off since Season 1 [as played by actress Gina Hecht]?), and that answer is yes.

Question: Give us the biggest Glee scoop you have right now. —Suzanne

Ausiello: Wow. Talk about pressure. Um…. A character I never thought I’d see on the show again is returning. How’s that?

Glee Exclusive: The Talk's Aisha Tyler to Guest Star as [Spoiler]'s Mother!

Aisha Tyler is headed to Glee to offer some much-needed parental guidance to McKinley’s newest bad boy.

TVLine has learned exclusively that the actress-slash-Talking head will guest star on the Fox hit as the mother of Jacob Artist’s enfant terrible, Jake.

Tyler, who in addition to yakking it up daily on CBS’s The Talk provides the voice behind ISIS agent Lana Kane on FX’s Archer, is currently shooting her Glee episode.

There’s no word if Tyler’s character will have a run-in with the other Mrs. Puckerman, a.k.a. the mother of Jake’s half-brother Puck (Mark Salling), who has appeared on and off since Season 1 (as played by actress Gina Hecht).

Thoughts on Glee‘s latest piece of maternal casting? Thumbs up? Thumbs down? Thumbs sideways?

'Glee's' Ryan Murphy Planning Two Tribute Episodes, Valentine's Wedding!

Mashups, Duets and More
The Fox musical -- which has already paid tribute to Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, Madonna and Britney Spears (twice) -- isn't done with the hourlong dedications this season.

"We're working on two tribute episodes," co-creator/showrunner Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm not ready to announce yet because it's not clear, but fun stuff."

While details are being kept under wraps, Murphy this season has hinted that he wants to settle the Madonna/Elton John feud that erupted earlier this year. "A big GLEE goal this year: a Madonna/Elton John mashup. #gayhatchetburying," he wrote on Twitter in August.

Tribute episodes have been a mixed bag for the series. The first Spears offering in November 2010 notched a then-series high, topping its Madonna effort. Its 90-minute Lady Gaga entry -- the 18th episode of season two -- registered a season low at the time with a 3.4 rating and 8.6 million viewers. This year's "Britney 2.0" collected a 2.9 in the demo and 7.5 million total viewers.

Murphy -- speaking at the opening of The Hollywood Reporter's Design Hollywood showhouse at The Century as part of THR's inaugural Design Issue for which he was the cover story -- also noted he's plotting a Valentine's Day wedding, declining to provide specifics. (We're looking at you, Will and Emma!)

Also to keep an eye out for: Glee's Christmas episode, which Murphy described as "very emotional.""We've taken characters that you wouldn't expect should be together and put them together," he teased, noting it's done in a very Love Actually fashion.
Thanks for watching!
